Nassau, Bahamas — Once again the Deputy Prime Minister has his hands in the sticky Cookie Jar. Breaking news coming to Bahamas Press confirms Brent Symonett’s company Bristol Cellars is that reported “Major Beverage Distributor”, which paid customs officers millions in an effort to avoid paying taxes. ‘VELL MUDDO’!

From a drink called Mona Vie to now a drink distributing company; why is this INGRAHAM LED FNM GOVERNMENT SO CORRUPT?

Not a word has come from Customs in taking the operators to court, but had this been Jackson Ritchie or Wendall Jones the story would be different. The funk of corruption from members of the Ingraham Cabinet is heaping like mounds of doo-doo, enough to stink up the entire country.

Our source said on yesterday, “the company referred in The Nassau Guardian on Thursday in a Customs investigation is indeed Bristol Cellars. Those fellas were warned about this for a while now, but they continued the lawbreaking practice.”

According to registrar files attained by BP, both Deputy Prime Minister Brent Symonette and brother Craig Symonette are owners of the company.

“BO your readers would remember John Bull did the same thing and it was exposed in the Parliament,” the source added.

The Wutless Media did not call the name, therefore, being the deep bench for news and information, your Bahamas Press did. We’ve gathered the information followed the sources and now has delivered to you the good. First it was the airport contract scandals, which Symonette described as “SMALL THINGS” and now it’s TAX DOLLARS bring ripped off by one of his companies. Tax dollars of which Hubert Ingraham says, “…is much needed tax dollars these days”.

  • I almost overlooked this story and am laughing as some on these blogs pretend as as the FNM is corruption free. How soon do we forget or dont know but POP symonnette may God bless his soul was involved in rum running to the United States of America.I had many uncles who worked for him and actually lost their lives.Pirates?of course. Now I suggest the PLP use the committee on Finances of which they have a majority to gring out the facts. Is this the reason why wannabe Leader Tommy T is now acting PM?

  • WOW!

This is just more corruption that the Ingraham led FNM government will white-wash. Pardon the pun.

WHY WOULD ANY OF US THINK THIS VERY STRANGE? THEIR OBJECTIVE FOR BEING IN GOVERNANCE IS FOR THE PURPOSE OF THEIR ENRICHMENT. EVASION OF CUSTOMS DUTIES IS “SMALL THINGS” FOR OPERATIVES WITHIN THIS FNM GOVERNMENT; “MONA VIE” IS A PRIME EXAMPLE. CRIME AND CRIMINAL ACTIVITY IS ONLY CRIME AND CRIMINAL ACTIVITY WHEN THE PLP IS IN POWER, BUT WHEN THESE PIRATES ARE AT THE HELM IT’S BUSINESS AS USUAL.

Tell it like it is Altec! BP does not need to give any of those worthless journalists any awards! Absolutely none!

BP when you asked who is our favorite journalist you do realize that this story shows up every one of those journalist listed in that post. those folks who are listed in that post, are not journalist. Most of them simply read of a teleprompter.

If you got this information, why couldnt they? Or maybe some of them knew who the owners were and so we must ask why they didnt disclose it? Were they afraid? Did their editors not think it was news worthy? Were they trying to protect someone’s image or a party’s image?

There is no reason why the Guardian (which is runned in part by the Tribune) couldnt have revealed the name of this company and its owners. we both know they had the names of the owners.

Total double standard. If your going to put Wendell Jones and Jackson Ritchie business in the streets, you have to expose Brent Symonette too.

I hope my Bahamanian people are opening up their eyes and finally realizing that the press in this country is biased towards the FNM. The media sits on stories and information that will expose the FNM, but anything that will slime the PLP or any former FNM the Tribune and guardian rushes to print it.

Bahamians wake up! We have no media institutions in this country. Like Fox News, the Tribune and Guardian are nothing more than public relations firms that espouse the views and protects the image of the FNM!

This illegal activity by Brent Symonette and his brother has been going on for a while. If your going to bring the hammer down on others, the Symonette’s shouldnt be treated no different.

Crooks i tell ya, they are all crooks.
