  • man dis only shows that we are not truly independant dats all dese men dont live here dey dont kno wat goes on here but they gat da final say…man our govt joking dey all a bunch of jokers we need to put regular people in the house of assembly instead of dam lawyers who twist da law for dey own gud im sick of it all

  • BP. I agree with you. The problem appears to be how the accused was identified from the dock. There was no previous lineup where the witness had to identify Tito from a group of men with similar physical characteristics.Of course from the dock the witness could identify the accused; he was the only one on trial! In law, this works to the accused defence but, the trial Judge could ameliorate this by issuing guidance to the jury. In this case, this appears to have been inadequate.

  • I see no blatant or severe criticsm of the Bahamas Judiciary…..different approach to various matters, but nothing too critical……

You see nothing criticizing the ruling of the judges? No noting of error in law? NONE? WOW!

      BP

  • Words fail me after reading the ruling of the Privy Council. What do the Brits know of what decent Bahamians must suffer when they lose a loved one? Heinous murders are being committed daily and still we allow the judiciary of another country to decide the fate of such criminals. What’s wrong with our government that they can’t see our crime is not another nations problem? God help us all if someone capable of this ever escapes from prison.

    • Hmmm. Sovereignty is a serious thing. We still letting a few old white men who live in England to decide what happens in this place. They live in comfort and peace where they are and we have to endure the hardships of crime. We need to send a clear message to these criminals. Hanging may not be the way to go, but we have to find something and quick. Bring dem tails back!
