Nassau, Bahamas — Breaking News unconfirmed reports coming into our news desk tonight confirm the 261st murdered victim has been identified. Sources close to the investigation tell us the victim is former Gaming Board employee, Teron “Limey” Fowler.

Now you would remember reports how Fowler after being fired by the Gaming Board, went to the United States and was convicted on drug charges.

In September of 2010, Sources in the ministry of foreign affairs had confirmed to BP, the former inspector, who was sentenced to 70 months on April 30th, 2008 by a court in Miami on drug charges, has been extradited back to the Bahamas to finish serving his time at Her Majesty’s Prison in Fox Hill.

Fowler, 33 years-old at the time of his conviction, was arrested on a sealed indictment last November when he traveled to Miami on a false passport. That indictment alleged a drug conspiracy that began in November 2006 and ended on December 26, 2006.

According to our sources, Fowler was transferred from the USA that year where he has served less than two-third of his sentence. The exchange programme has been a long-term treaty between the US and the Bahamas.

Yesterday, detectives made a bizarre discovery after putting out a car fire in the Hanna Road section of Eastern New Providence, nearby the residence of the former Governor General.

According to police reports, sometime around 3:45 pm on Monday 18th July, 2011, police received information that a car was on fire in the area. Fire personnel responded and on completion of extinguishing the blaze discovered a body burned beyond recognition inside a vehicle.

Perhaps on good behaviour sources tell us he was released from HMP sometime this year.

FIVE (5) ARRESTED IN SOUTHWESTERN OPERATION

Officers of the Southwestern Division (Carmichael Road) took to the streets within their divisional boundary, sending a clear message to criminals that you will be caught if you fail to obey the law.

The operation resulted in officers uncovering a marijuana field and arresting five (5) people, two (2) men for questioning reference to House-breaking and three (3) males for questioning reference to armed robbery.

Officers arrested a 21 year of Fox Hill and a 39 year of Roland Street, Ridgeland Park sometime around 7:00 pm on Monday 18th July, 2011 reference to a number of House-breakings in the Pride Estates and surrounding areas. The men were arrested after they were found in possession of a number of stolen items which included flat screen televisions, cell phones, a watch and a mini lap top.

Police are investigating and are advising members of the public to refrain from buying items suspected of being stolen, as failing to do so will result in your being placed before the courts. Officers also took into custody two (2) men along with a male juvenile whom they believe are responsible for a number of armed robberies in the Allen Drive area.

Additionally, during the operation officers uncovered a marijuana field in the Cowpen Road area. No one was taken into custody. Active police investigations continue.

  • Zo

What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget. -R.I.P Teron Fowler- My heart goes out to Teron and his family especially his children. Regardless of what he did or has done Teron Fowler was a good person. At the end of the day only GOD can judge him and no one else. His children are hurting they lost there father, and for those of us who knew him we’ve lost a friend.

  • How could you be so heartless, everyone may make one or two mistakes in life but that doesn’t give others the right to take a life and then to take a life in the way they did Teron. My heart goes out to Teron and his family. I’ve only known him for a short while and the time spent with him was time that will always be cherished. R.I.P you will surely be missed.

  • Pay back is a bitch. Terron’s Pay back finally came for the things he did to some people.

    • Rochelle, you are a very ignorant individual. Only God has the power to judge. He who is without sin cast the first stone. No sin is greater than the other and to rejoice at the fact that a human life was taken shows a lack of maturity on your part. Take a minute and pray for your own wrong doings and stop being judgmental. May God be with you. R.I.P. lil brother. I love you.
