Plane Crash Landed in Freeport, Grand Bahama

The white, grey, black, and red Beech 18 aircraft that crash landed near the air traffic control tower in Freeport Grand Bahama.

Freeport, Grand Bahama – Police reported that around 1:00pm, they responded to a report of an airplane crash landing on runway o6 by the Air Traffic Control Tower in Freeport, Grand Bahama.

Investigating the scene on runway 06 just north of the runway a white, grey, black and red Beech 18 airfreight plane, registration # N38L was seen with its left wing flap launch into a pine tree and the rear wheel broken.

Police reported that the plane was carrying a quantity of cargo. The pilot, Mr. Paul Slavin of Fort Lauderdale Florida and his passenger, Jacob Gitman of Fort Lauderdale, Florida escaped without injuries.

The initial investigations revealed that that as the pilot landed on runway 06 in his plane he was caught in a cross wind which cause the craft to spin out of control and skidded of the runway causing damage to the same.

Police say investigations are continuing.
