Suspect now in custody caught with the AK-47 is Benjamin Anderson. He is the same man wanted by police in 2011 for the murder of Ricardo Edgecombe of Fox Hill!
What a man wanted for murder in 2011 doing walking around with an AK-47?!
Nassau, Bahamas – A team of courageous officers from the Royal Bahamas Police Force have arrested an adult male and seized an AK – 47 assault rifle, following a shooting incident in Montell Heights today.
Bahamas Press has identified the man caught red-handed and in custody as Benjamin Anderson.
Now get this back in 2011 Ricardo Edgecombe, 30, of Johnson Road, became the country’s 43rd homicide victim that year. Following that incident police placed a all points bulletin for this same Benjamin Anderson then 18-years-old at the time. But now in today’s shooting incident he is captured again – WALKING up and down in the streets with a deadly AK-47 shooting down people in the road! WHAT IS THIS?!
Police reports tell us that around 1:00pm, police received a report of gunshots being fired in the Montell Height area by a group of men that resulted in an adult woman and a young boy receiving non-life threatening injuries. The suspects fled before the police arrived. Responding officers from the Selective Enforcement Team and Mobile Division intercepted the suspect running across the East West Highway with an AK 47 Assault rifle.
The officers engaged the suspect and he dropped the weapon. The suspect was arrested and the weapon recovered. The two victims were transported to hospital where they are detained in stable condition.
