Nassau, The Bahamas – The Free National Movement have lost its steam, so bad that the government is afraid to hold a rally to celebrate its victory at the poll.
Unemployment is UP!
Food Prices are UP!
Crime is UP!
Fuel Prices have Skyrocketed!
Contracts to issued by the government have all stopped!
Things are so bad across the country, that if the government wanted to hold a rally, it couldn’t. After victimizing over 1,200 government workers terminating their employ, news coming to Bahamas Press has confirm that firings have followed at Atlantis, Baha Mar, Capri and Our Lucaya Resort. And today, mass firings have occurred at Bimini Bay last week and today.
In fairness to the FNM government this downturn began before they took office. However one would argue, had the government acted responsibly when they took office in 2007 and continued with projects left by the former government, the impact of the recession would be minimal. Bahamians ate hurtin.
Bahamas Press cautions all Bahamians to brace themselves for the worse. With projection of a slowing economy for the next 12 months.

On Friday, May 2nd, 2008 show host Jeff Lloyd will host a live talk show from the Free National Movement Headquarters, Mackey Street from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. We invite all FNMs to attend.
Senator Johnley Ferguson, National Party Chairman, will be a special guest on Bahamas at Sunrise on Friday morning, May 2nd, 2008 at 6 a.m.
