FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The public is hereby advised that Prison inmate Kendrick Rahming escaped from lawful custody at about 11 a.m. today while assigned to a work detail at Government House.
Rahming is serving a four-month sentence for minor offences with a release date of July 11, 2008. He is not believed to be armed or dangerous.
Prison Officials have launched an investigation into the circumstances that led to the escape and have joined The Police in a search for the inmate’s capture and return to prison. This is the first escape from a prison work group in nearly two years.
