Robbery and Abduction in New Providence

PRESS RELEASE 
ARMED ROBBERY/ABDUCTION
Shortly after 12:00 noon on Wednesday 19th May, 2010 police received information of an armed robbery /abduction at the junction of Prince Charles Drive and Sea Breeze.  Police responded and information received that a male phone card vendor, while at the junction of Prince Charles Drive and Sea Breeze Road was approached by the occupants of a Black Honda Accord L/P OT 1908, one of whom was allegedly armed with a shotgun.  It is reported that the culprits forced the vendor into the vehicle, where it is believed that they beat and robbed the man of an undetermined amount of cash and cell phone cards, before releasing him.  Police are investigating.
 
ARMED ROBBERY
Sometime around 6:07 pm on Wednesday 19th May, 2010 police received information of an armed robbery at the Cellular Expert Store, Goggle Eye Road off Soldier Road.  Police responded and information received that two males, one of whom was clad in a grey shirt and blue jeans pants, allegedly armed with a handgun entered the establishment demanding cash.  The culprits robbed the establishment of an undetermined amount of cash, cell phones and cell phone cards and fled the area on foot in an unknown direction.  Police are investigating and appealing to members of the public with any information regarding this incident to kindly contact them.
 
SHOOTING
Sometime around 6:07 pm on Wednesday 19th May, 2010 police received information of a shooting at Sampson Street, Nassau Village.  Police responded and information received, a 32 year old male was exiting a residence at Sampson Street Nassau Village, when a dark male, in a dark colored Honda vehicle, allegedly armed with a handgun fired gunshots in his direction of him.  The 32 year old received gunshot injuries to the left thigh and was taken to hospital via EMS personnel, where he is listed in serious but stable condition.  Police are investigating.
