Stanley Saintvil murder victim #180.

A BP BREAKING NEWS ALERT<<< A resident of Spring City Abaco alias, “YELLOW” will be charged with Abaco’s latest homicide.

BP can confirm police on the island are holding three men in connection with the slaying of Abaco resident, Stanley Saintvil.

The victim along with his companion and daughter were all shot in their home following a home invasion earlier this week.

prior to the arrest of “Yellow” police also held two males in connection with the slaying.

Both young men are the sons of prominent Abaco businessmen.

The owner of Abacom computer company Mr. Malcolm Spicer,  and the owner of M & R grocery store, Mr. Roderick Strachan, sons are being held by police.

You would recall that Mr. Roderick Strachan owner of M & R grocery store was the victim of a robbery gone bad some two years ago when his youngest son was gunned down during a robbery at M & R. Prominent televangelist Silbert Mills’ son was charged in connection with that murder.

It is rummered on the island that a possible motive for the murder was not robbery, but a murder for hire, as the victim in this latest homocide did not make good on his promised to pay a voodoo priest in Haiti. The priest is said to have who given a number of Haitians nationals the winning numbers, and in return some of the winnings was pledged to be returned to Haiti.

What make this theory believable is that no monies where taken from the crime scene. Over twenty thousand $20,000 was left untouched.

It is therefore fair to assume that should police have the wrong suspects in custody, a serial killer could be on the loose in Abaco, as we are learning that there are a few other Haitian nationals who did not make good on their pledge to the voodoo priest.

  4. I am a resident of Abaco, and I refuse to believe BP would write these lies….No Voodoo Priest was involve in this murder, it was robbery. Yes it was over some money that was won from playing number. The robbers heard about this money that was won and decided that they wanted it for themself…..so this foolish about voodoo priest murder for hire is all LIES

    • But Thomas you could deny our theory all you want, but how could you avoid the facts. If it was robbery, why was some $20,000 was left in the home? Why shoot a 1 year old BABY? Who will answer that? Then leave the money with everyone near dead on the ground! We detest yall nasty deniel of the facts!

YINNER HAVE NO DAMN SHAME! YOU ALL ARE A BUNCH A SHAMELESS MEN AND WOMEN; PRACTICING THAT ‘VICKED’ EVIL INCANTATIONS in that once decent community!

JESUS CHRIST IS STILL LORD OF THE BAHAMAS!!!!

      BP

PS; YINNER ‘VICKED’ JUST LIKE YA DAMN PAPA!

  5. This report is full of lies and propaganda. BP gets one bit of story and then relies on gossip, rumour and the highest form of exaggeration to get people’s interest. It is the worst form of Journalism in the Bahamas – The Punch aint even this low.
Don’t flatter yourself, I only read this CRAP because I saw a post on it somewhere else and I have a strong dislike for insipid misinformation.
And please, BP, come back at my post with your infantile drivel – back hand slaps et al! IGNORED

  6. BP GROW UP …DO YA JOB GET DA FACTS THE CORRECT FACTS 🙂 THATS ALL WE WANT FROM YOU NOT DRAMA N BACK HAND SLAPS …CHILDISH!!!!!!!

  7. Not to sound disrespectful or anything.. But this has ta be the worst team of reporters ever. Being from Abaco everyone knows that if you where to go and ask for “Yellow” there is only one person they would point you to. You was the first to use that alias so I guess YOU need to go and find out his real name. If you even are a real reporter. Seems to me that you are looking for fame through controversy. I pitty you and this BP media.
P.S. i spoke with him on saturday.. i guess he’s not bein chared!

    • And get this “BOY” you reading it! Even though in your eyes it is the worst, You cannot keep your eyes off BP.

Ask us if we does buy he Tribune and watch us cuss!

    Dear Mr. Editor,

STORY BY BAHAMAS PRESS ::: A BP BREAKING NEWS ALERT<<< A resident of Spring City Abaco alias, “YELLOW” will be charged with Abaco’s latest homicide. As the sister of yellow the only person who has this alias name in spring city, please remove this statement NOW or legal actions will be taken. I ask that you get your facts straight and publicly aplogize to him for the defamation of his character. sign alias BIG YELLOW

    • When we read this letter we wondered when did a UNIVERSAL COLOUR become the name of a suspect and the exclusive identity of an individual. ONLY A JACKASS would threaten BP with this!

But please, BIG YELLOW, let us know where your court order is so we can have it signed and picked up.

      BP

    • HA HA HA that is hilarious!
They dont know a thing about law, perhaps if they called him by his real name and not some color then they might actually have a case, and oh yeah them and him might be taken serious in life not as some joke 😀

  9. I DON’T THINK ANYONE SHOULD BE IN FEAR BECAUSE OF WHAT DA MEDIA REPORTED, IF THEY WEREN’T DEALING IN VOODOO IN DA 1ST PLACE WHAT THEY HAVE TO BE IN FEAR FOR…WHO EVER IS IN FEAR IS INVOLVE..!!

  10. this aint the first time bp has butcher up a story …………man get your facts straight before you go running on .you got everyone in abaco & da rest of the bahamas reading your nonsense.

BP:”It is therefore fair to assume that should police have the wrong suspects in custody, a serial killer could be on the loose in Abaco, as we are learning that there are a few other Haitian nationals who did not make good on their pledge to the voodoo priest”

why da heck would you write this ????? to put haitian nationals in fear??? all this is buncha bull #@&%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • OK give us the real story then? Let’s not harp on deflections. BRING OUT THE FACTS! TELL US And the thousands of people who read BP what went down this that community this week.

      Bahamas Press/editor

    • You know Abaconian we at BP go at GREAT LENGTHS with time and resources paying for information to bring you the story and this what ya get. “Oh, dat ain’t true!” But you refuse to come clean with the story.

      BP

  11. I will shed some light in regards to the voodoo priest I am a Bahamian but have been doing business with Haitians the last 6 years. It is true that Haitians do send for winning numbers from home and it is required that they send winnings back in a certain period of time, and the downfall is that you will pay withyour life if the priest doesnt get his/her money. In terms of every Haitian being involved with voodoo is a false statement but believe that it is a way of life for at least 75-80% of them. It is a sad story but the wife and child shouldnt have been involved if in fact it was a voodoo priest revenge as the ‘priest’ dont like bloodshed ironic. I do wish the family Gods blessing and hope as this is a very difficult thing to deal with.

    • It is true most haitians uses vodoo I am bahamian and I know because I saw vodoo worked all my life growing up they still using it in fort fincastle earea number do come from haiti they dont always win but if you win dont spend any of the money back on numbers or someone in your family will die the haitians must be working something because all those illegal houses going up on firetrail road split levrl and all and the athourities blind to it see why the haitian act as if they own the bahamas and the bahamians pay rent

  12. OK we lie and everybody posting knows the truth. Well we wonder who ga tell us the real story if what we reported is a lie?

$20,000 sat in the house and the gunmen never touched it, WHY?

    BP

    • @ media maybe they didnt have a chance to rumble bout through the house to get the money…. But lets be real the only witness of the ordeal is the wife i suggest u find her and ask her what happen….

      • Could you reach her on our behalf. We deputize you. Otherwise what is reported here stands.

        BP

  13. BP you are so far from the truth. Your report is false in every sense of the word. The truth is not in you. It is evident in the fact that all you simply had to do to get the facts was speak with the authorities in Abaco and you would have been given some facts. The only truth to this story is the fact that you got the name of the Victim correct.

    • @ Datus Farrington (Detective)

To officer Farrington, we caution you that BP has a ‘VICKED’ back hand slap. You have accused BP of making false reports? Well let’s see, what about your involvement in a Haitian prisoner swap in a previous investigation in exchange for LUCCA???

You see, BP respects the fact that you are a married man and would not comment further on house keeping matters…

      WAP WAP!! back hand slap!!

      BP

      • My involvement in the prisoner swap was none at all. As a matter of fact, I was tried and vindicated and the true culprit was found guilty in a Police Tribunal. This is public knowledge. In fact, it is a story I share where ever I go.
You see, because of my personal experience of being wrongfully accused I make it a point to investigate thoroughly before I come to a conclusion that someone is guilty. I hold to the view that it is better to let 100 guilty men go free than to allow 1 innocent man go to prison. He who knows it feels it.
I am simply stating in my earlier post that to name persons who were simply being questioned and label them as murderers is wrong and irresponsible of you.
How would you feel if your son or daughter were wrongfully accused and before proven guilty their names spread all over the internet? Put yourself in the shoe of the individuals you write about and ask yourself, “Would I want this done to my children?”
Right is right and wrong is always wrong no matter how you try to twist it.

        • Thank you Datus. Succint and to the point exactly. My son was one of those mentioned in this article and you have expressed my feelings exactly. As a personal friend of the deceased also I am grateful to the Abaco police for their swift work in apprehending these suspects (that’s what they still are until proven guilty) even though I knew they had wrongly suspected my son of involvement (my son has a clean police record). I told the police that I understood why they had taken my son for questioning as he fit the description of the person they were looking for. They were fair and after 24 hours my son was released, to the massive relief of my wife and I. To see this article and the inferences it made was most distressing to my wife and I as Stanley was a very good friend of mine. I shall be speaking at his funeral on Saturday. Datus is one of the finest officers we have had in Abaco and is to be applauded for his efforts to try and get the truth out. Thank you Officer Farrington. And to BP, why have you not followed up on this story now that many of the facts are out? Or are the facts not exciting enough for your ‘readers’? I don’t expect an apology for what you did nor do ask for one. I would just ask that you be a little more responsible in matters such as this that affect people in a very emotional manner. There is enough confusion in our lives.

        • detective…..is it ur job to arrest poeple n present the evidence,or to convict people?….thats the dam problem with some of u assanine,dumb-witted officers!….u want to be judge n jury!….people are tried by the police, even before the courts(who’s job it is to bring conviction)has their final say!

    • So called Policeman why are you responding to this story? As a citizen I call on you to investigate and not get involved in you say,I say.I hope your superiors chastise you for speaking out of turn.A man is dead and his family needs resolution not a Policeman only interested in appeasing some persons. Then you have the nerve to sign your name as a Detective lolo lolo.

      • Hmmm police are men and women like any other profession. Are they supposed to give up the right to express their opinion or give advice on issues relevant to their profession?

I did not know a person needed consent from their boss to use his/her personal computer to give his/her opinion on issues.

Where are we? Is this The Bahamas or China? A Communist Society forbids freedom of expression Mr. Johnson, not a Democratic Society.

This is not a one sided debate limited to you and those who share your views. If thats the type of debate you seek then the internet is not for you.

If you want a debate limited to your views then may I suggest you resort to thinking to yourself privately. That way, when your inner voice is in disagreement with you, you can kick yourself.

As for the investigation, well the news speaks for itself. The police did a damn good job in solving it within four days.

  14. Rhyan Spicer was released yesterday. He was 20 miles away from the incident at the time it happened. It was a case of mistaken identity.

    • yeah blame it all on haitans, you’ll **** bahamains all you’ll do is talk about haitans, this and haitans that accept the fact that the saintvil family was attacked by bahamains, and the sad thing about that is the wife and child was innocent and this whole talk this and that they need to be put away for life or put to death, all of this and that we all know what will happen to these guys they will go to jail for a week a month or we will be lucky if they go for a year and out in the street like nothing happen..””what a shame”‘

  15. BP this story was distastefull, and confusing rather. So you’re saying that “Vodoo priest” hired these three individual to kill Stanley. And in young last paragraph “assuming…” u say! Should we now “assume” or expect to see the killing/slaying of others too??!! You ought to becareful when writing about things deemed “Rummored”! Its not good read for a small community.

Write the Facts…Not hear say! So now u have other haitian nationals in fear.

    • @ anonymous This story is straight bull and he say she say. If a Voodoo priest were to hire these guys some of whom are Bahamians, born and raised in the Bahamas. don’t you think for one second that if a voodoo priest could give a winning number, he would be able to tell them guys where the money was and exactly where to find the money. The Bahamas is so press and news casters all over the country has to be the dumbest and most retarded set of people there is. A blog can be assumed, But you should not print assumptions on a murder investigation.

@ Brinana: not to be disrespectful are anything you really should take a minute to check what you are saying before you say it. Not every Haitian living i9n the Bahamas associate themselves with Voodoo and I’m not stating that you did so don’t get me wrong but when you are making such statement you might want to word it a bit better. I am a proud Haitian Bahamian living in the Bahamas and Currently representing the Bahamas here in the U.S in Matters that is beyond your knowledge capacity. And I am from Abaco and once again I know for a fact that not every haitian associates themselves with voodoo. I hope that The Gov’t of the Bahamas is not financing Bahamas Press because you guys are a disgrace to reporter who hold their profession at the utmost manner of professionalism. Have a wonderful night in the Bahamas, stay safe. I wish I was in Abaco right now because I am freezing out here in New York.

  16. Dats a dam shame with this voodoo **** it has to stop even the haitans in the bahamas will continue doing it it needs to stop i think all a dem shud go back and take care thier country cause the bahamas is haiti they dun took over the country man we bahamians need to do something for once for the country
