Miriam’s voice became the voice for many who struggled under the wip of OPRESSION and INJUSTICES in her COUNTRY South Africa. Her voice echoed a call for CHANGE in South Africa, and trumpeted the need for change amongst those who lay hungry in the world. Bahamas Press salutes the voice of Africa, ‘Mama Africa’ the voice of Change, HOPE and Freedom! May she rest in peace, Miriam Makeba 1932 – 2008.
