Athlete and Police Reservist Aquitted of Charges

Nassau, Bahamas Bahamas Press can confirm national long jump record holder and police reservist, Craig Hepburn, was discharged from the magistrate court and cleared of all charges brought against him.

Hepburn was charged for having unlawful sexual intercourse with minors by the prosecution.

Magistrate Guillimina Archer presided over the case and discharged Hepburn advising him that he was free to leave the court. The charges were dropped as a result of a lack of evidence by the prosecution.

Hepburn told supporters gathered he was relieved that his innocence had been affirmed by the court. “I hope this will now clear my name as I seek to move on with my life,” Hepburn said.

He thanked his family and supporters for believing in him throughout the ordeal.
