Hatchet Bay, Eleuthera — A sixty-five year-old man was found stuffed in a garbage bin and police have yet to classify his death.

Sources in Hatchet Bay on the quiet island of Eleuthera tell us the decomposed body of, ALICE SAINTILAM, was found in the garbage bin dead after persons were disturbed by a foul odor coming from the garbage on Wednesday morning.

There his lifeless body was discovered and police are saying no more. They refuse to tell us if this is a murder, but who finds a man in a garbage bin stuffed tight inside at that age and not conclude the incident to be a murder?

FIREARM ARREST IN MARSH HARBOUR ABACO

On Thursday 20th January 2011, at about 8:50 am, a police officer while at Marsh Harbour Airport enroute to New Providence observed a male with a black case that aroused his suspicion. As a result, a search of the male was conducted and a black 9mm semi automatic pistol was found in his possession along with a magazine carrying (10) 9mm rounds of ammunition, an extended magazine with (32) rounds of ammunition and an additional (96) extra rounds of ammunition. The suspect, who is from the USA is detained and is being held for questioning. Charges are expected to follow.

STABBING IN WILSON TRACK

Sometime around 8:35 pm on Wednesday 19th January, 2011 police received information of a stabbing at Wilson Track.  Police responded and information received that a male was walking on Wilson Tract when he was approached by another male who attempted to rob him.  A struggle ensued between the culprit and the victim which resulted in the victim being stabbed multiple times to the head.  The victim was taken to hospital via EMS personnel where he is detained in serious condition.  Police are investigating.

FIREARM ARREST ON ENAD STREET

Sometime around 10:40 pm on Thursday 19th January, 2011 officers of the Drug enforcement Unit were on routine patrol on Eneas Street off Poinciana Street when they observed a green Toyota with two (2) males acting suspiciously.  Officers conducted a search of the vehicle and recovered a handgun with ammunition. The male’s ages, 26 and 31 years were taken into custody.  Police investigations continue.

DRUG ARREST IN NASSAU VILLAGE

Sometime around 12:25 am on Thursday 20th January, 2011 officers of the
Central Detective Unit were on routine patrol on West Street when they arrested a 40 year of Alexander Boulevard, Nassau Village for being in possession of a quantity of suspected marijuana.  Police investigations continue.

SHOOTING AT WEST DENNIS COURT

Sometime around 1:27pm on Thursday 20th January, 2011 police received information of a shooting at West Dennis Court, Yellow Elder Gardens.  Police responded and information received that a male was working on a vehicle at West Dennis Court when he was approached by another male wearing a white shirt and a black pants armed with a handgun.  It is reported the culprit fired gunshots at the victim which resulted in the victim receiving multiple gunshot injuries to the body.  The victim was taken to hospital via EMS personnel where he is detained in serious condition.  Police are investigating.

Operation Rapid Strike

The Rapid Strike Units during the tour of duty for 19/1/11conducted mobile and foot patrols throughout the troubled areas of New Providence. The product of their efforts are as follows: Fourteen (14) persons were arrested: One (1) Possession of a .38 Revolver with five live rounds and a quantity of dangerous drugs; Four (4) Possession of Dangerous Drugs (two of which were with intent to supply); One (1) Suspected Stolen Vehicle; Eight (8) Warrants of Arrest; One Hundred Fourteen (114) name checks were conducted. The Half Bar situated Blue Hill Road South was closed after an inspection revealed outstanding breaches of the law.

We are now livin in a lawless country where ppl,can do all sort of violent sick crimes,and the court systems are failing 2 do absolutely notting about it,these person need 2 give an account 4 what thry are doin 2 humans and society!!!i tink if u take a life there is no reason why yours shoudnt b takin also,4 this the bible,and until we dowhat the word says or put the right ppl in position 2 make these dicisions this country is gonna end up like jama or haiti,trust me on this, is very sad and has 2 be stoped, ASAP!!!!
