Bahamas Press is reporting another murder this morning, this time in the Peardale area.
According to reports, Althorne Toote, a 32 year-old owner of Gabo’s Bar, was exiting his business when sometime around 1:30 am this morning he was approached by armed goons. The men drove up upon him and opened fire, hitting him fatally in the upper body.
Bahamas Press has learnt the victim is the father of four and is said to have no criminal record. Who wanted to kill Toote in this lawless crime-riddle society where crime continues to skyrocket?
Police as usual have no suspects, no leads, no one in custody no nothing! Crime is killing this country and our citizens are under constant attacks, while Papa and ‘Jughead’ fiddles and have not a damn clue!
Toote’s is now BP’s 238th murdered victim since 2009, with over 12 other suspicious deaths cases in 2011 alone still unclassified by police.
Lord I pray that the police really start to shoot to kill these murderers/robbers when they are caught and branish a weapon at police officers. I beg the police officers to PLEASE STOP SHOOTING THESE THUGS IN THEIR LEGS, AIM FOR THE HEAD AND CHEST. I pray also that the parents and the bahamian public stop crying and talking about their good child, brother when they know that their “good son”, brother etc took someone else life for a quick undeserving dollar. When these thugs meet their death I shout thank you Lord one less problem I have to worry about. Tootes didn’t have to die he had alot to live for. So many people lives are affected by the death of a loved one cause when a love one is killed a part of you die with that person also. I was not close to Tootes but a friend of mine was and I can’t help but to shed a tear when I read the comments left on his fb page from his family and friends that loved him. I hope his family and friends continue to be strong and the murderers are caught and brought to justice. I SAY YES TO HANGING AND QUICK SENTENCING!
I got the following message from the nassauguardian.com in regards to the case of ‘Maxo Tido’ not being hung for the killing of the teenage girl (no disrespect but I didn’t get her name). So based on what I’m about to post – the ‘Law Lords’ should agree that the person who killed Althorne should be HUNG!.

I’ve known this guy from school in jackhayward in freeport…I known him from living in the same area AFC..He is a cool brethren and always peaceful and fun to be round. I havent seen him in years since he move to Nassau, but to my knowledge this guy dont trouble people like that…I just hope they get the guys that kill him.. In life there is always a reason behind everything and all will come to light. I just cant understand all these senseless killings.. Unfortunately once the police have made arrests in matters such as this, and produce a case file outlining the relevant witnesses and evidencial matter, one of three things happen. 1. The witnesses are killed. 2. The evidence is some how lost or 3. The witnesses are killed and the evidence is lost.
This is an ongoing issue with law enforcement and the judiciary. The only solution is for the police to kill these fellas. This may sound a big dramatic and draconian, but we are living in a hyshin jamrock society. I am sure systematic killing of criminals is practiced in these places, why not here.
I think we are beyond the age of innocence in New Prov. Them days gone. Its time for marshall law. In closing, I would have wished Bran to have been given National Security. He would have been the ideal choice. Where there is no vision the people perish. And in Nassau, they are perishing daily.
Remember when the criminals only used to rob ya and take your stuff? What kind of animals we raising that have to kill a man and then rob him? Four children now don’t have a father, a family torn apart in mere moments for a few replaceable dollars. I’m sure this man have given up the money, but these animals and mongrels walking around here must be rotten on the inside. I have no faith in Tommy T or this government. No Plan + No Action = Out of control crime rate.

RIP Tootes, I hope your murderer/murderers are brought to justice quickly. This senceless killing is so wrong and it has to stop. I only knew you to be a quiet person that enjoyed hanging out with friends and got along with people easily, never knew you to be a troublesome person. You will be missed by many. I wish to extend my condolences to his family and friends but most of all to his children that no longer have a father. My prayers are with each of you during this trying time. I agree about not harboring criminals. Call me niave but If someone I know commits a crime and they come to me for help in the back of my mind I’ll be thinking they could possibly hurt me and my kids cus we know what they did. This Bahamas is TOO small and everyone know someone who know you. Chances are those who reading this knows someone associated with me in some way. I also feel murderers ought to be HUNG, rapists CASTRATED & theives DECAPITATED! Set an example and I certainly agree with 10 years mandatory for gun charges and stop giving multiple bails – Actually no damn bail. Do a crime – do ya time! This country is out of control!!!
