Freeport, Bahamas – In response to customer questions regarding Grand Bahama Power Company (GBPC) billing policies, the company will be extending their customer service office hours starting Wednesday, September 14th to Wednesday, September 21st from 5pm to 7pm weeknights only.

“Many of our customers use their lunch hour to pay bills,” said Katherine Demeritte, GBPC Director of Customer Service .  “Because of the need to rush back to work, pay other bills or pick the children up from school they are unable to take the time to sit with our customer service representatives and get a thorough understanding of their bills.  These extended hours will give our customers the opportunity to do this.”

Demeritte went on to explain that bill payments will not be collected at this time but she stressed that customer who have questions concerning their bills, estimations or experiencing difficulties making payments should use this opportunity to meet with a GBPC Customer Service Representative one on one.  “We also want to remind customers that our call centre is also open 24 hours a day at 352-8411, for those who are unable to come in to our offices.’”
