FREEPORT, Grand Bahama … Freeport Container Port has taken delivery of two new Container Handlers (Top Loaders) Manufactured by Kalmar of Finland.
Chief Executive Chris Gray noted that this new equipment will play an important part in meeting the challenge of the additional business being handled by the container terminal. “Our new Container Handlers/Top Loaders will help us to increase productivity and meet the growing needs of our Customers as container volumes and vessel sizes continue to increase”.
The new equipment adds to the versatility of the terminal and will provide new training and opportunities for operators as the terminal continues to focus resources on industry best practices, productivity, and safety in the work place.
Freeport Container Port, (FCP, situated only 65 miles from Florida, Freeport Container Port (FCP) is the natural trans-shipment hub for the Eastern seaboard of the Americas and the principal East/West Line Haul routes through the region.
