New Providence Police request public’s assistance in solving recent homicide – Police are requesting the public’s assistance in solving a shooting incident that has left a man dead on Friday 30th August 2013.
According to reports, around 9:15pm the victim was parking his vehicle at his residence located at Williams Street, Nassau Village, when two men armed with firearms approached him, shot him multiple times about the body and fled on foot. The victim was transported to hospital via private vehicle where he later succumbed to his injuries received.
Investigations are ongoing.
Meanwhile police are looking for two men.
Police tell us they are requesting your assistance in locating 28-year old MICHAEL THOMPSON of 1st & 3rd Street, Coconut Grove.
Thompson is described as having a dark complexion, slim built, low hair cut, and stands at 5’ 11” tall.
Police want to question Thompson reference to a number of Stealing from Vehicle complaints that occurred in the Western and Eastern areas of New Providence.
Police are appealing to anyone with information regarding any crime to contact 919 or anonymously contact Crime Stoppers at 328-TIPS (New Providence) or 300- 8476 (Family Islands).
The second suspect is also wanted. Police are also requesting your assistance in locating 27-year old GODFREY VIRGIL, ALIAS ‘DOLLAR” of MALAWI STREET, ELIZABETH ESTATES.
Virgil is described as having a dark complexion, slim built, low hair cut, and stands at 5’ 11” tall. Police want to question Virgil reference to a number of House Breakings.
