POLICE SEEK PUBLIC’S HELP IN SOLVING A RECENT HOMICIDE
Police are seeking the public’s help in locating the suspect/s responsible a shooting incident that has left a man dead on Wednesday.
According to reports, shortly after 9:30pm the victim was walking on John Road near Market Street, when he was shot to the upper body. The victim was transported to hospital via private vehicle, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Police are seeking the public’s help in locating the suspect responsible for a shooting incident that has left a man detained in hospital on Wednesday.
According to reports, shortly before 9:00pm the victim was playing a game of dominoes outside a Woods Alley home, when a lone gunman approached him and shot him to the body. The victim was transported to hospital via private vehicle, where he is detained in serious condition.
SET AND CIB OFFICERS SEIZE THREE (3) ILLEGAL FIREARMS AND DRUGS IN OPERATION
Three (3) illegal firearms and a quantity of dangerous drugs were seized during a special police operation on Wednesday.
According to reports, between 11:45am and 1:35pm, acting on intelligence, officers of the Royal Bahamas Police Force’s Selective Enforcement Team (SET) and Central Intelligence Bureau (CIB) executed search warrants at homes in the Nigeria and Higher Drive area of Flamingo Gardens resulting in the discovery of three (3) handguns and a quantity of marijuana. Also over eight thousand Dollars ($8,000:00) suspected to be the proceeds of crime was confiscated.
Six (6) men have been arrested in connection with these seizures.
DEU OFFICERS MAKE LARGE DRUG AND AMMUNITION ARREST
Two (2) men ages 31 and 24 years along two (2) women ages 23 and 20 years are in police custody after they were arrested for possession of dangerous drugs and ammunition on Wednesday.
According to reports, around 7:15pm officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) acting on intelligence, executed a search warrant on a home situated at Cordia Street, Pinewood Gardens, where they discovered a large quantity of ammunition and a large quantity of suspected Marijuana weighing 6 1⁄2 pounds. The four suspects were then taken into custody.
