EXUMA, Bahamas – A joint police operation in Exuma has dealt a major blow to drug traffickers in the country, after Drug Enforcement Unit officers along with Police in Exuma arrested three men ages 37, 34 and 27 for possession of a large quantity of marijuana on Monday 25th August 2014.
According to reports, around 2:15am, Drug Enforcement Unit Officers along with Police in Exuma acting intelligence mounted a joint drug interdiction in Williams Town Exuma, where they conducted a search of an unoccupied house located along the shoreline and uncovered a number of crocus bags each containing large amounts of marijuana. The three suspects were subsequently arrested and flown into New Providence for questioning.
A total of 511 pounds of marijuana was uncovered with and estimated street value of $511,000.00.
