ABACO, Bahamas – October 16, 2014 – Home to the renowned Angler’s Restaurant, Abaco Beach Resort and Boat Harbour Marina, took home three first place awards at the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism’s Taste Our Bahamas Competition, held in Fort Charlotte on Oct. 4 and 11, 2014.

Chef Charles Stuart, sous chef at Angler’s Restaurant, bested his competitors with his delicious creations, and Preston Jones, a bartender at the resort, debuted a new addition to the resort’s signature cocktail menu.

Stuart’s lobster and mushroom thermidor, a restaurant favorite, won first place in the “Best Lobster Dish” category, while his guava and cream cheese lattice pastry with a warm white brandy sauce, won first place in the “Best Pastry” category. Preston won “Best Alcoholic Taste of Our Bahamas” for his Abaco Beach Bum – a refreshing mix of cointreau, vodka and peach snapps.
