Nassau, Bahamas — Bahamas Press has already shared our disgust with the price control department following our visit at the Sawyer’s Foodstore on Grand Bahama.
There we found the price of a 5oz can a tuna being sold for $2.42.
Now get this Grand Bahama is a TAX FREE ZONE! The price of a can of tuna in most places is under $0.99. How is it in this store one can is costing consumers $2.42? It’s UNBELIEVABLE!
Bahamas Press is calling on regulators to shut down this store until price assessments can be made. NOWHERE IN THE WORLD IS A CAN OF TUNA THAT EXPENSIVE!
