Bahamas Press is reporting a Cabinet decision will confirm Reginald Ferguson as the next director of the Bahamas Financial Intelligence Unit [FIU]. The move will mean all local bankaccounts will now be under the scrutiny of the MUGABE Led administration. We've also learned the Assistant Commissioner Quinn McCartney is being considered for the top COP post.
Ferguson? I was under the impression that the front runner for that position was another long term banker but he is a big PLP but the best man for the job. When will our country display transparency in order to get away from this pothole of corruption? Does he even have the skills needed for this VERY important job??
McCartney and Dames came in as Inspectors and have no policing experience.The Monister of National sec and PAPA have no clues so the choice is clear.Reggie to FIU?now the finances gone but PAPA just dont care as he knows he will lose the next General Elections and is intent on sabotaging the country for a long time.Apologists on this site wakeup and smell the the stink PAPA is fore shadowing.
Ferguson as the next director of FIU must be a joke; a retired policeman of some 65 years (not sure of his age) replacing a young man some 10-15 years his junior is a damn shame and disgrace.
Sad to say but I am not surprised because I am of the opinion our leaders are playing political football with this country while Bahamians are blinded by the red and yellow colors.
Fellow Bahamians please wake up and throw politics aside.

why all dis move to appoint cronies in the finance sector AG FIU CJ somthin fishy here to say the least these people will have to go come next election clean up the system and free it of political interference
If this is true then it dosn’t suprise me none. We should all know by now that HI puts party, and not country first. It was about 3 or 4 years ago when the plp gov. transfered Marvin Dames and Reg Ferguson to different positions on the Police Force. Back then the Fnm made such a big deal about it, they called it political interference…. Well if thats what u called it then i wounder what it’s called now.
Greenslade is suspected of being a PLP and it would be a cold day in hell before he’s “appointed” COP by HI. Mr. Greenslade is the best man for the job because he came up through the ranks…. BP you should do a poll, have people who visit this site choose between the three top contenders to be the next COP… My vote goes to Greenslade.
