Bahamas Press is reporting 22 workers at the Sandal hotel property in Exuma have already been laid off the job. The terminations we can confirm occurred as its Marina Restaurant, which continues to experience slow business. The terminations occurred on Thursday last week. The Tribune would even have Editorials on the disasterous affect of the layoffs to the economy. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, however, it might be that layoffs are so common place, nowadays, that they are not news items anymore?
