Leon was convicted of the Independence 2011 murder of Fransisco Hanna
Nassau, Bahamas – Police have now recaptured escaped prison Ormand Leon who had escaped lawful custody.
The 25-year-old escaped a prison bus that left Bank Lane en route to the Department of Correctional Services sometime around noon on Feburary 1st.
Justice Bernard Turner was to sentence on the 16th, however, his escape form lawful custody had created Courtroom Theater yesterday when members of the Department of Corrections were to be called to provide the court with an explanation of the escape.
Leon was captured on Gladstone Road around 11:30pm last evening with fresh braids in his hair and a clean shirt! Police moved in on the suspect following tips. This is great news.
Leon was charged before the courts concerning the July 10, 2011, Independence Day murder of Fransisco Hanna. The deceased was shot twice in the chest and three times in his right arm. He died of his injuries at the scene. Dennis Mather, 24, Leon’s alleged accomplice, was acquitted days prior to the verdict following the direction of Justice Turner.
