NASSAU, The Bahamas – Prime Minister the Rt. Hon. Perry G. Christie presented the Bahamas Red Nose Day proclamation to Caden Smith of St. Anne’s Anglican School, Fox Hill, at the school’s special assembly on Thursday, February 25.
Caden initiated Red Nose Day in The Bahamas after she saw for herself someone trying to find food in a garbage disposal: the primary school student wanted to do something to help prevent hunger in her community, and subsequently launched Red Nose Day efforts that now assist with the government’s national lunch programme that provides lunch for over 3,000 government school students.
