Nassau, Bahamas — For decades, The Paint Place has filled businesses, homes and lives of many Bahamians with bright hues and bold pigments. Recently they’ve added colour to the lives of many accustomed to seeing gray and gloom. These persons, among thousands in the community, on a daily basis are filled with hunger and battle with the thought of where their next meal will come from. Through a donation to the Bahamas National Feeding Network, The Paint Place has joined corporate Bahamas in championing this fight.
“We at The Paint Place have always been kindhearted towards the children and the underprivileged,” said Christine King general Manager The Paint Place. “We’ve seen the commitment of the Bahamas National Feeding Network over the short period they’ve been in operation and are very pleased to assist them feed the hungry, something many of us will never have to face.”
“The partnership with The Paint Place is dear to us at the Network,” shared Philip Smith, executive director of the Bahamas National Feeding Network. “They truly exemplify what a socially responsible company is. It is a continuous challenge funding the various feeding programs and we are forever grateful to the individuals and organizations who understand the plight of the persons we share with on a daily basis. If it were not for the generousity of those who dig deep in their coffers, we may be unable to meet a very basic physiological need of thousands.”
“It really does our heart good and we find it so fulfilling to help those who need it the most,” King said.
Launched in 2013 and founded by H.E. Frank Crothers, Ambassador of the Order of Rhodes & Malta, the BNFN was developed to unify and organize the distribution of food items among the various feeding agencies in order to minimize the duplication of effort all while increasing the efficiency of the process.
