Nassau, Bahamas – Breaking news coming into Bahamas Press confirms we have another traffic fatality on the streets of the capital this afternoon.
BP has identified the victim to be 58-year-old Kenneth Cartwright of Flemming Street.
Sources have confirmed sometime around 3pm today the victim was riding his bike on Market Street area near the old Keith’s Chicken Shack when speeding a Honda collided with the victim throwing him off the bike and into the air. He died on the scene.
Just yesterday another driver had to be transported to hospital after colliding with a gasoline transport truck in the area near Jacaranda [the road which leads into Lyford Cay]. Both were wildly speeding on the meandering corridor. The jeep shown here flipped on its head following the crash.
In the past week a number of fatal accidents have occurred in the capital across its advance road network; forcing the Minister of Transport to caution motorists to slow down and pay attention on the streets.
