Freeport, GB – Police in Grand Bahama arrest four persons in connection with a quantity of suspected marijuana and also arrested an Eight Mile Rock resident for questioning in connection with the recent murder in Eight Mile Rock.
Reports are that on Monday 4th April 2016, Officers of Operation Turf Sweep executed a search warrant at a home in the Coral Reef area, where they discovered a quantity of suspected marijuana. Four residents of the home were arrested for Possession of Dangerous Drugs with the intent to supply and taken into police custody.
They will be arraigned before the Magistrate Court later this week. The amount of suspected marijuana is over 93 lbs. and the estimated street value is seventy four thousand four hundred dollars.
But consistent with the Commissioner’s 2016 Policing Plan, officers from the Selective Enforcement Unit took two males into custody for drug possession on Tuesday 5th April 2016.
In the first incident, shortly before 1:00pm, officers from the Selective Enforcement Team executed a search warrant at a home located on Anthurium Street, Garden Hills # 1, where they uncovered a quantity of marijuana. An adult male was taken into custody in connection with this discovery.
Then around 5:00pm, officers from the Selective Enforcement Team executed a search warrant at a home located on Hollywood Road, Winton Meadows, where they uncovered a quantity of marijuana. An adult male was taken into custody in connection with this discovery.
