A woman on PI attempts suicide

A BP NEWS ALERT: A young female who resides in a condo on Paradise Island attempted to kill herself an hour ago. BP is gathering information on the ground.

ARMED ROBBERY

Sometime around 8:36 am on Monday 14th September, 2010 police received information of an armed robbery at St. Francis Cathedral, West Street. Police responded and information received that an employee on arrival to work, was approached by a 6 ft. tall dark male, clad in a long sleeve white shirt, long blue jeans pants and a blue cap, allegedly armed with a handgun demanding cash. The suspect robbed the employee of her purse containing an undisclosed amount of cash and checks and other personal effects, including a set of keys. Additionally, an employee that was inside the church was also robbed of cash and a set of keys the property of St. Francis Cathedral. The suspect fled the area on foot in an unknown direction. ATTEMPTED SUICIDE

Sometime around 3:00 pm on Monday 14th September, 2010 police received information that a 15 year old student of Anathol Rodgers High, Faith Avenue South attempted to commit suicide. Police responded and information received that a 15 year old student while at school was discovered cutting his right arm with a scissors. The student was taken to hospital via ambulance for medical assistance. Police investigations continue.

ARMED ROBBERY

Sometime around 1:30 pm on Tuesday 14th September, 2010 police received information of an armed robbery at Robinson Road, east of Baillou Hill Road. Police responded and information received that a female while on Robinson Road was approached by two (2) males one of whom was allegedly armed with a handgun. It is reported that the culprits robbed the female of jewelry and fled the area on foot heading north on Second Street, Coconut Grove. Police are investigating.

ARMED ROBBERY

Sometime around 5:00 pm on Tuesday 14th September, 2010 police received information of an armed robbery at New Kids Sporting Store, Robinson Road and Market Street. Police responded and information received that two male’s entered the store, collected several clothing items and proceeded to the cashier. As they approached the register, one of the males left the store and returned produced a handgun, demanding cash. The culprits robbed the establishment of an undetermined amount of cash and fled the area in an unknown direction. Police are investigating.

ARMED ROBBERY

Sometime around 10:00 pm on Tuesday 14th September, 2010 police received information of an armed robbery at Sumner Street, Nassau Village. Police responded and information received that a 26 year old male was walking on Sumner Street, Nassau Village when he was approached by a group of males two of whom were allegedly armed with handguns. It is reported the culprits robbed the victim of his jewelry and fled the area on foot. Police are questioning four (4) males in connection with this incident. Investigations continue.

ARMED ROBBERY

Shortly after 10:00 pm on Tuesday 14th September, 2010 police received information of an armed robbery at Tulip Avenue, Garden Hills. Police responded and information received that a 32 year old male was in the area of the park in Gardens Hills when he was approached by two masked males, one of whom was allegedly armed with a handgun, the other allegedly a knife. It is reported the culprits robbed the victim of his jewelry and fled the area traveling east, in a gold SUV. Police are investigating.

ATTEMPTED SUICIDE

Sometime around 10:20 pm on Tuesday 14th September 2010 police received information of an attempted suicide at Colony Village. Police responded and information received that a 15 year old female of Colony Village attempted to take her life by cutting her wrist and swallowing an excess amount of tablets. The victim was taken to hospital via ambulance, her condition unknown at this time. Police investigations continue.

ARMED ROBBERY

Sometime around 8:30 pm on Tuesday 14th September, 2010 police received information of an armed robbery at the parking lot of Sheraton Hotel, West Bay Street. Police responded and information received that three (3) visitors all of Madrid Spain where in the parking lot of the Sheraton Hotel when they were approached by a dark male allegedly armed with a handgun. It is reported the culprit robbed the visitors of their wallets, containing an undetermined amount of cash, credit cards, Lap tops, cellular phones and a Toyota Yaris SD rental #126 the property of Avis car rental. The culprits fled the area in the vehicle, police investigations continue.
