Another man charged with murder goes up!
Nassau, Bahamas — Bahamas Press has learned Dwayne Peter Lockhart, who was found guilty in the murder of Enrico Major, son of jailed drug trafficker Dwight Major, has been sentenced to 24 years in jail.
You would remember Major, only 17 at the time, was stabbed to death in the Blue Hill Road South only weeks before his graduation.
Lockhart admitted to the crime early in the trial and claimed he had defended himself following an attack by Major and Ken Johnson who he claimed were armed with knives.
Lockhart told the court, “They came to kill me. I really didn’t want to take matters into my own hands. I would like to apologize to Mrs. [Keva] Major. I really didn’t want to deal with it, but justice must be served.”
