Water & Sewerage Union Election was held today, the results are now in. A well known FNM running for President, Alexstine Clarke, was beaten by well known PLP Dwayne ‘Prickle’ Woods. The unofficial tally was 133 to 83. The official results pending Department of Labour approval.
This is definitely HUGE! The FNM is in trouble, an FNM was President of this Union for the last 6 years. A change in Union leadership is indicative of the mentality of the workers toward a sitting government.
A little history? In 2002, a PLP won the Presidency (PLP administation was governing), in 2005, an FNM won the Presidency (FNM administration was heading into government), in 2008, an FNM won the Presidency (FNM administration was governing), in 2011, a PLP won the Presidency. Anyone see a trend here?

Water & Sewerage Non Management employees sold their birth right for a plate of food. I know Mr. Woods personally and I just hope those employees know what they did when they voted for him. I heard he played a dirty game and threathen folks. If you MR.WOODS did that, watch what’s coming to you.
That food came in Handy as PAPA and the FNM have pauperized the middle class and the working poor. A SWEEP IS COMING!

Jerome, you beat me to the punch, in your response. Months ago this site was not so political, but now it same like they are trying to sell a political party around here, but some of us still want a good, well informed educated, stimulated read in the morning, but what can you say when 90% of the nation is water down with this political garbage. This week in the house they wasted time talking about more ways to waste time with the political garbage, some voter’s bill. This none significant bill is going to pass so quickly, but they are not tabling national issues to bring about some reform. We are in a national crises in this country and the leaders are not doing enough, but when the USA steps in and put out advisories telling their people not to come here, or only to go some parts of the Bahamas, or even so the United Nation have to take note and table the topic and some meeting its going to bring about some major concerns around the world.
And they are in the House talking about ways to stay in the house by bring and debating some voters bill, and did not add a term limit for the Prime minister, or transparency with founding, and this was the time for that.

All of you guys who talking about BP is a PLP website…Remember we have had the Nassau Guardian owned by Greek FNM Manny Alexiou and Short Anthony Ferguson..PURE FNM…Lets not even go to the TRIBUNE, whose was born UBP…You all never criticize how they are both FNM papers and have been since time and eternity…how is it that you all want to talk about BP…Why haven’t you all taken the blinders of you all eyes before. Is it because BP is read by so many now. Or is it because it is showing up the incompentencies of your party?
Tia I always tell them, why come at BP when they gat all the other media? We do not hide our support. We openly tell ya WE BACKING THE ROCKSTAR candidates launched by the PLP. But the Guardian and the Tribune while they do battle for the FNM, cannot find the nerve and become the WASHINGTON POST and back publicly one candidate!
