Another murdered in 48 hours of a killing spree – latest victim gunned down at Roots Junkanoo practise.

Nassau, Bahamas — Bahamians cannot go to Junkanoo Practise anymore as rogue killers continue to roam the streets of this tiny island of 21 X 7 and evade justice after hacking, and murdering their victims.

Bahamas Press is reporting another senseless murder overnight this time at the Roots Junkanoo practise. According to eyewitnesses, the young man was walking in the area where the cultural practise took place when a gunman opened fire hitting the suspect in the back.

He succumbed from his injuries.

Meanwhile detectives are probing another murder earlier this week.

Police are presently investigating a shooting incident that has left a man dead. The incident reportedly occurred shortly before 4:00 pm on Tuesday 2nd at Dunmore Street & Hospital Lane. The victim was taken to hospital via private vehicle where he succumbed to his injuries.

At present police are uncertain of the circumstances surrounding this incident; however as information becomes available you will be updated.

ARMED ROBBERY

On Tuesday 2nd around 12:25pm, Police received information that a business establishment in the area of Pioneers Loop was held up and robbed.

It was reported that around 12:00pm a male clad in a brown tam, brown jacket, cargo short pants and armed with a hand gun entered that establishment and held up an employee and demanded cash.

The culprit fled with an undetermined amount of money.

Police are appealing to members of the public who may have any information in this matter, they are ask to contact the police at telephone numbers 350-3107, 350-3108, 911 , 919 or the nearest police station.

Police are actively investigating this matter.

POLICE INVESTIGATES STABBING INCIDENT

Police are questioning two (2) men in connection with a stabbing incident that has left a 29-year-old male of Rupert Dean Lane, in stable condition in hospital. The incident reportedly occurred around 4:30 pm on Monday 1st.
Initial reports indicate that the victim was walking along Wulff Road along with a family member when he was approached by a group of males and subsequently stabbed multiple times. Active police investigations continue.

POLICE SEEK HELP IN LOCATING ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECTS

Police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating two (2) males and a female responsible for an armed robbery at a Service Station, Thompson Boulevard. The incident reportedly occurred shortly before 10:00 pm on Monday 1st.

Preliminary reports indicate that a heavy set, female of light brown complexion with locks entered the establishment allegedly armed with a handgun and demanded cash. The female reportedly robbed the establishment of an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the area along with two (2) males in unknown direction.

Police are also investigating and armed robbery at a business establishment located Gibbs Corner and East Avenue. According to reports around 3:30am Tuesday 2nd two (2) males both of whom were allegedly armed with handguns entered the establishment demanding cash.

The culprits reportedly robbed the store, along with a customer of an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the area on foot in an unknown direction.

Police are investigating and appealing to members of the public who may have any information regarding any of these incidents to contact police.
