Thirteen Die on the streets of the Bahamas for the year
Nassau, Bahamas — Bahamas press is reporting shocking details this morning after a 39 year-old Grand Bahama resident succumbed following a deadly traffic mishap.
We can tell you the victim is Alex Ezekiel Dean.
The accident, we are told, happened late last night. He died on the scene.
Some 13 persons have lost their lives to traffic accidents since the new year, just a month and a half ago.
Police are still investigating a traffic accident in Andros, which left a 48-year-old male of Behring Point dead.
The incident reportedly occurred around 8:45 pm on Sunday 12th February, 2012.
Initial police reports indicate that the driver of a white 1996 Toyota collided into a utility pole while in the area of the AUTEC Base. A team of officers from New Providence is in Andros to assist their colleagues with the investigations.
Mobile Makes $76,000.00 Drug Bust At LPIA
A 25-year-old female of Third Street, Coconut Grove, is in police custody after she was found in possession of a large quantity of suspected Cocaine.
Officers of the Mobile Division accompanied by officers of the Airport Police Station arrested the female around 7:15 am on Sunday, 12th February, in the Pre-Clearance Section of LPIA.
The drugs weigh four and three quarter (4 3/4) pounds, over two (2) kilos, and have a street value of seventy-six ($76,000.00) dollars.
