A BP NEWS ALERT:
Another woman was murdered last night and her male partner is listed in critical condition at the PMH. A male and a female were on Adelaide beach after 9pm last night when they were attacked by a group of men in two vehicles.
BP reports the attackers stabbed both victims about their bodies and as a result the woman died on the scene.
The attackers also stole the victim’s truck. This latest attack moves BP’s murder count to 176 murders since 2009.
However, we wonder where’s Tommy Turnquest and the nation’s ‘SCATTER BRAIN’ Head of the Crime Council, Hubert Ingraham. They both have become absolute failures when finding solutions to the growing crime problems in the Bahamas.

In my opinion, if the story is that he did kill or help to kill ,People like him are Just immature, possesive “love?? sick” obsessive, abusive (in ALL FORMS) (probably also rum and drug induced), LONG & SHORT, MENTALLY IMPAIRED persons who, when they ARE LUCKY to get some poor woman trapped feels he owns her and its his RIGHT to (as his sick mind tells him)to OWN her and if he can’t have her then no one else will.
so sad this happened to this young lady….to all her friends and family…have my condolences….THIS COUNTRY NEED CHANGE…lord help us all
Newman we live in a country where the majority of persons are black. This has nothing to do with race but it is about a jealous lover who did not want to walk away. to turn this into a black against white thing makes no sense.
Well last night that was not what was reported, and even right now it is just rumours as the police have not told the public that it was the boyfriend.
IMO newsman need to open his eyes real good – and stop being narrow-minded. This has nothing to do with race. The boyfriend was brown skinned – colour has nothing to do with fact that if you crazy – you are just crazy. In any case he set the whole incident/scene up and had conspirers as well. She left him, probably had another man and he couldn’t handle it – simple. How many other women out there dude – slap yourself. His story was concucted and nobody (but his family maybe) beleived any of it from the start.
I fully expect others to also be charged in this incident – time will surely tell and JUSTICE will be server swiftly – like today. My hat goes off to the commish and the force on this one. This like a movie.

Obviously there are more black people in the country. White people are targeted all the time for their race here, so its NOT that far fetched.
She was a white girl, with a black boy friend. Either it was a robbery, or they targeted her over taking a black boy away from their black sister, or simply having a baby with him. Racism is alive and well in the Bahamas, like in the 60’s USA, but against WHITES. Beware all WHITE people. Bottom line is if her boyfriend had been white, this never would have happened. At least not here in the Bahamas. White Bahmians is just get drunk and beat they woman not stab them to death, thats a trait of young black bahamians.

A BP NEWS ALERT: In what can only be described as a shocking turn of events Bahamas Press has adorned our forensic investigative suit and gloves and is investigating thoroughly the facts in the death of the 22 year-old Long Islander who was discovered in the Adelaide community. Shandy Cartwright was discovered with multiple stab wounds about her body. The RBC Palmdale employee’s death halted operations yesterday.

Police reaction to this recent spate of violence needs to be immediate and all encompassing. The criminal element in The Bahamas must be rooted out and decimated. They have ramped up their operations so law enforcement must be mandated to respond in kind. I am in no way suggesting that the Police be allowed to go out there and indiscriminately use strong-armed tactics to harass innocent citizens, but they must be allowed to respond at a level that leaves no doubt as to their intention. They know who the criminals are, where they operate, who they associate with… – GO AND GET THEM. The time for pussyfooting around has long past. Hundreds of thousands, if not millions of dollars have been spent in training members of the Royal Bahamas Police Force. Let them do their jobs without fear of political interference or victimization because it should be obvious by now that these thugs do not give a flying fig as to whether their victims are PLP, FNM or DOG.
As a potential victim, I don’t want to hear politicians telling me the obvious – that crime levels are high. I don’t need to hear him or her using the youth as a scapegoat for all of society’s ills as if these kids raised themselves or are the sole perpetrators and originators of all criminal acts. I don’t want to hear about the international reputation of the country, or of reduced tourist arrivals. As a potential victim, I am interested in ONE thing – I want to know about the tangible plans you have in place to up the chances of me living to see next week while at the same time holding onto my personal property that I worked so hard to attain. I want to know that perpetrators will be dealt with expeditiously and severely by the law courts.
If in the event that a strategic plan does in fact exist, then the implementation of a contingency plan should have been triggered as soon as it became apparent that the original goals and results were not being achieved.
In order to win the war on crime, there needs to be unity in purpose and purpose with a plan. Like everyone else, no doubt politicians dream for an end to these violence-filled days and nights. However, in the words of Harvey Mackay: “A dream is just a dream. A goal is a dream with a plan and a deadline.”

Word on the street is that the whole scene was staged by the boyfriend, who killed her. He is now in police custody and has confessed to the murder.
My God…..Police should question the man more. Something about this incident gives a rat scent. Sorry, this was probably a set up or otherwise, but I don’t see total innocense here. I say to police question the other victim even more, I believe there is more to this story, I guess it will come later. Adelaide Beach….no way perhaps they were followed, I guess or they frequented this beach and were being watched, either way, in my humbled opinion and even spirit of disernment, someone known to the deceased victim is probably involved who has answers. Don’t know why, but this is how I feel. on this one. How sad, It is my prayer that the case will come to a quick closur and all parties involved will meet justice in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. I also pray for the families of the deceased work as well as intermediate and her friends who bereave at this time, know that God will strengthen us for every endurance and that weeping endures but for a night, but joy truly comes in the morning for earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot cure and this too shall pass in Jesus’ name. Bahamas Press is reporting the the woman stabbed is a Royal Bank employee named Shandy Cartwright.

She was such a nice person. She did not deserve to die that way at all. It pains my heart to see the heartlessness and the loss of morality and humanity. What have we come to Bahamas? Is this the great little nation we call our home? When will it end?
