Police in Grand Bahama are investigating the armed robbery of a male while in the Hawksbill area.

Reports are that on Friday 16th September 2016 shortly before 7:00pm, a male while in the Hawksbill area reported that he was held up and robbed of his cell phone by a lone male brandishing a black handgun.

Officers responded quickly and arrested three males in the Hawksbill area who are assisting police with their investigation into this matter. Officers also recovered the stolen cell phone and a black imitation firearm.

Investigation into this matter is continuing.

POSSESSION OF DANGEROUS DRUGS – ABACO

Three Bahamians and two Jamaican Nationals were arrested by police in Abaco for possession of dangerous drugs.

Reports are that on Friday 16th September 2016 shortly after 5:00am, Officers in Abaco executed a search warrant at a home in Spring City where they discovered a quantity of suspected marijuana. Five persons were arrested including two Jamaican Nationals. They will all appear before the Magistrate Court early next week to be formally arraigned.
