Today, just hours from now, the country will decide its destiny. It will decide whether we should continue on our present course or head in a new direction.
Today Bahamas Press is in deep reflection as the end of the campaign approaches and we prepare to decide our fate as a people.
NO ONE IS SURE!
No one can predict that future fate but the One who sits on the heavenly throne.
And so we lift our prayers to HIM today, like a cloud of incense, begging for mercy, peace and guidance.
For it is HE who shall decide our fate tomorrow. Mr. DJ, please stop the music.
Tonight, as our leader addresses the nation, one must ask the question WHY…
Why should Bahamians endure more pain for five more years? WHY?
Or why would a young Bahamian unemployed for the past 18 months decide to stay the course? Why?
Mr. DJ, please stop the music.
Why should a mother, heavy with child, unemployed, with no support, boyfriend gone and the price of pampers gone up, consider staying the course? Why red over GOLD?
Mr. DJ, please stop the music.
Educated young Bahamians, saddled with loans and brushed aside over some foreigner for the post at BTC, must ask themselves what is it that keeps then looking everywhere but for a new direction. Why?
Mr. DJ, please stop the music.
Young business owners and homeowners sitting on the side of the street gata ask themselves what is it that forced them to so love someone named PAPA, and not see they don’t have a job anymore. Don’t have a business anymore. Don’t have employees anymore, don’t have independence anymore…but yet they are sitting in that home set for foreclosure next month and saying – “I ain’t make up my mind yet who I ga vote for on Monday May 7th…”
Mr. DJ, please stop the music.
Wealthy Bahamians tell this writer, the night is getting darker and even Hubert Ingraham seeing dead people.
No hope for a future.
No message for change. No vision for prosperity. No plan to double investments in young Bahamians and no plan to arrest the crime crisis from the present government … YET, they deliver?
Mr. DJ, please stop the music.
Bahamas Press advises every reader of this blog to stand with the PLP. We call upon you to usher in a NEW DAY in the Bahamas!
To knock on doors. Call up a friend or neighbour and spread the message of GOLD throughout the country.
Mr. DJ, please stop the music.
Remind friends and loved ones that there is a need for a new direction in the Bahamas – the right direction.
Tell them REACH FOR THE GOLD! LOOK INTO THE FUTURE! PRAY TONIGHT and come May 7th [TOMORROW MORNING AT 7AM] Stand on the LINE…AND THEN MARK YOUR “X” FOR THE PLP!
