Residents on this country really could put up with foolishness nowadays. Imagine this, BEC is all on ZNS informing the public how to call its emergency number whenever electricity is down in an area.
“Oh not today,” say the actor in the ad as BEC technician moves to quickly restore power to the distressed woman.
If only what ya see on TV was fact in the real world. Try calling that same number at BEC and it will ring and ring until the cows come home.
What’s worse is that in some areas of New Providence and in distant communities like Abaco and North Eleuthera, having consistent power supply is a thing of the past. What is even more wicked is the fact that the government has no solution to the problem.
BEC needs to stop lying to the people! Keep the damn light on and while ya at it, tell the Bahamian people who are the persons we are renting those additional generators from, for an additional $3 million dollars. We wonder if the ‘Dutty Wutles’ Toilet paper has the guts to ask the same.
DEAR ‘THE TRUTH IS ‘and ‘KEVIN EVANS’,if the government is not paying its elctricity bills to BEC, why can’t MR MOSS and MR BASDEN let the BAHAMIAN PEOPLE know which government department owes what to BEC? IF THESE TWO ‘GREAT MEN ‘ WOULD STANDUP AND STOP FROM BEING A YES YES PERSON TO PAPA AND CREW,THE BAHAMIAN PEOPLE WILL STRONGLY SUPPORT THEM.REMEMBER THE MONIES OWES TO BEC BY THE GOVERNMENT DEAPARTMENTS FALLS UNDER THE WEAKLESS WATCH OF PAPA AND HIS FOLLWERS.
Remember that Moss and Basden are both political appointees. Also, consider that ThePowersThatBe treat ALL government information, especially information that may embarrass political entities(like their enormous, outstanding utility bills)as classified or top-secret.
Successive governments have failed to pay its bill to BEC.We cannot blame Moss and Basden. What is needed now is privitization. When this happens, the government will stop using BEC.
Phenton, Laing and the whole shooting bunch of these clowns are a clan of liars. None of them can count and they believe that they are the next best thing to slice bread. What a bunch of dummies.
Can someone please tell me what is Michael Moss being paid two hefty salary for with the Bahamian People money. He is a failure at ZNS and he is below failure at BEC. It is very very clear that this Government does not see the Corporations (BTC, ZNS, BEC, W&S,NIB,)which are the property of the people as the key ingredient to create some level of self-reliance and security for the Bahamian People. They just don’t care about us!!
I agree with the writer wait until the investigations start at N I B cargill is so greedy he took out the best computers for him and his exce. His exec got move that one of the computer that the board was selling to staff each staff member was only entitle to one some got five will blow me down.
All one can think is Kevin have something on this government no one in their right mind should think that this man should still be incharge or bec
INCOMPETENCE!
Ya can’t say no more!
The Truth is The Government owes BEC over $50 million and failed to pay its bill causing BEC not to be able to carry out badly needed Generator maintenance during the 2010-2011 winter season. Contrary to the lies of Phenton Neymour and Michael Moss BEC will continue to drown in red ink. After more than four years this lying bunch have driven BEC to collapse.
