Nassau, Bahamas – Another man has lost his life following a freak accident on Shirley Street just hours before the Boxing Day Parade on Christmas Eve.

The victim in this accident is longtime retired BEC employee, Newman Munroe, who was contracted by a private company working for BEC to assist in lighting up Shirley Street for the 2015 Boxing Day Parade.

Officials reported that just after 6pm on Christmas Eve, just in front of the First Caribbean Bank, Munroe was in a bucket truck connecting lights when a Junkanoo flatbed truck collided with the bucket truck hitting the victim out. Munroe was injured on impact and later died in hospital.

All we can say is pray for the family of the victim. But, something must be done with these drunk, high and phone ‘texting’ impatient drivers!

Munroe was the 6th fatality victim in just 8 days!

We report yinner decide!
