COULD BIRBAL’S ATTEMPTS TO KEEP RETRYING HIS CASE SO HE COULD TIE-UP THE SYSTEM?
Nassau, Bahamas — Bahamas Press now outside the Court of Appeal reports Andre Birbal has been found guilty of two counts of unnatural sex with a former student.
The 48-year-old former arts teacher in the Eight Mile Rock High School, was initially accused of six counts of unnatural sexual intercourse with the minor between January 2002 and June 2007.
We can tell you four of the six counts were dismissed following legal submissions.
He is presently serving a 35-year prison term.
You would remember Birbal had fled the Bahamas after investigations revealed that he had opened an afternoon classroom where he and a clandestine pack of pedophiles on Grand Bahama exploited underage boys.
We don’t know if the two counts will now reduce his sentence, but we believe with the hostile environment on the streets, if he is granted bail – that might be a good thing.

In October 2011 when handing down his sentence Judged Hartman Longley had described the incidents as “one of the worst cases of sexual molestation of young boys he has ever encountered!”
He added that Birbal has used both the church and his position as a teacher and his relationship with boys to gain their confidence of their parents while scheming all the time to carry out “a diabolic plot of purgatory sexual exploitation of the victims to satisfy your deprived sexual appetite”….
