Feb. 13 (Bloomberg) — A Continental Airlines plane crash in Buffalo, New York, killed 49 people, the Buffalo News said, citing unconfirmed reports from Buffalo Niagra International Airport.
The dead included 44 passengers, four crew members and a person on the ground, the newspaper said.
As many has 50 people may have been aboard the aircraft, the newspaper said, citing County Executive Chris Collins. Crew members reported mechanical problems as the plane approached the airport, the newspaper added.
