FIREARM & AMMUNITION ARREST
Sometime around 1:45 pm on Wednesday 2nd June, 2010 officers of the mobile division acting on information conducted a search on yard at Labor Street off Hospital Lane. Officers searched and recovered from beneath a dog house, a handgun with ammunition. Two people, a 30 year old male and a 17 year old female were taken into custody. Police are investigating.
ARMED ROBBERY
Sometime around 12:25 pm on Wednesday 2nd June, 2010 police received information of an armed robbery at Blacks Food Store, Podoleo Street off Cordeaux Ave. Police responded and information received that a dark male clad in a black shirt and a multi-colored shirt entered the store allegedly armed with a handgun demanding cash. The culprit robbed the store of an undetermined amount of cash and phone cards, and fled the area on foot in an unknown direction. Police are investigating.
STABBING
Sometime around 4:45 pm on Wednesday 2nd June, 2010 police received information of a stabbing at Charles Vincent Street off Robinson Road. Police responded and information received that two (2) brothers ages 51 and 45 years got into an altercation, which resulted in the 51 year old being stabbed to the back with a knife. The victim was taken to hospital via EMS personnel where he is listed in serious but stable condition. The suspect was taken into custody. Police are investigating.
WOUNDING
Sometime around 5:58 pm on Wednesday 2nd June, 2010 police received information of a wounding at Palmetto Ave, West off Market Street. Police responded and information received that two males got into an altercation which resulted in the one of males being chopped to the left arm with a cutlass. The victim was taken to hospital via EMS where he is listed in stable condition. A 30 year old male, was taken into custody. Police are investigating.
