SHOOTING/ARMED ROBBERY
Sometime around 12:45 pm on Saturday 24th July, 2010 police received information of a shooting in the area of Blue Hill Road and Kiki Street. Police responded and information received that a male while in the area was approached by another male allegedly armed with a handgun demanding cash. It is reported the culprit robbed the male of an undisclosed amount of cash and subsequently shot him to the lower right leg. The male was taken to hospital by EMS personnel where he was treated and discharged. Police investigations continue.
SHOOTING
Sometime around 10:30 pm on Sunday 25th July, 2010 police received information of a shooting at Augusta Street. Police responded and information received that a male and female were walking on Augusta Street when they were approached by another male allegedly armed with a handgun. It is reported the culprit fired gunshots in the direction of the male and female which resulted in the female, age 14 years being shot to the abdomen. The female was taken to hospital via EMS personnel where she is listed in serious but stable condition. Police are questioning a 16 year old male of Finlayson Street in connection with this matter. Police investigations continue.
