Nassau, Bahamas –Breaking news from sources in the political directorate in the Ministry of National Security tell us, major changes are underway in the Royal Bahamas Police Force.
You would remember Prime Minister Hubert Ingraham at a Meet The Press Event, told journalists, there was no need to shuffle the top brass at RBPF for he had just done that.
You would also note prior the appointments of Ellison Greenslade and Marvin Dames to the top brass of the Force, Ingraham sent both the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner for training in Canada, but from information passed onto BP the top brass is about to experience a shaking.
We are told come early June Deputy Commissioner of Police, Marvin Dames, is set to take up an appointment in the private section as Director of Security for the Chinese run Baha Mar Resorts on Cable Beach. He shall resign as a peace officer.
For over one year Dames and his family was funded at the expense of the taxpayer to train to assist in combating the skyrocketing crime wave now gripping the country! All his training will now be lost to Papa favourite people, Foreigners!
BP has learnt Assistant Deputy Commissioner, Quinn McCartney, a close relative of the Minister of National Security and known throughout the force as the ‘Wire-Tapper’ shall assume the number two position following Dames departure.
Officers throughout the Force are not welcoming the move.
The high-ranking McCartney was said to have been allegedly pimp slapped by another high-ranking officer for allegedly wiretapping his phone.
