Nassau, Bahamas – Deputy Prime Minister Philip Brave Davis and Mrs. Davis joined US Charge d’Affaires John Dinkelman and Mrs. Dinkelman in celebration of the 238th anniversary of the founding of the United States Marine Corps.

The event was held at the Sandals Royal Bahamian Spa Resort in Cable Beach.

Special guest speaker for the event was Mr. William Gallegos, a Marine Security Guard who was assigned to the American Embassy in Tehran, Iran. During his assignment there the Embassy was overrun by militants.  Mr. Gallegos was held captive by the Revolutionary Government of Iran for 444 days.
