Man killed instantly upon impact – Oh the fragility of life!
George Town, Exuma – There is sad news coming out of Exuma this morning following the traffic deaths of two guests to the country.
We can report a traffic accident on the island resulted in the death of two (2) people, believed to be Canadians.
The accident reportedly occurred shortly after 10:00 pm on Thursday.
Early reports indicate that a male and female were walking along Queen’s Highway when they were struck by a gray 2000 Nissan Sunny.
Both persons received serious injuries; however, the 57-year-old male was pronounced dead at the scene and the 55-year-old female succumbed to her injuries at the local clinic.
The driver received minor injuries and is assisting police with their investigations.
A team of officers from the Traffic Division New Providence is at this hour on the ground in Exuma assessing the developments with their colleagues in on the island.
