Freeport, GB – Bahamas Press is reporting another traffic accident on Grand Bahama, which claimed the life of the driver.

We can confirm that around 3:00 a.m the incident unfolded on the East Sunrise – just across from The Medical Pavilion near KFC.

A 2004 Chevy Malibu driven by the deceased male along two other passengers – one female and a second male occupant. All were discovered seriously injured as their car exploded into piece ejecting them onto the streets. Like a scene out of war blood, burning oil, and the smell of twisted hot melted iron and tires littered the street. A concrete utility pole was broken as a result of the vehicle’s impact like multiple pieces of a puzzle scattered across the highway.

All three victims were transported to the Rand Hospital but the young male driver loss his life. The victim we have yet to identify is the first fatality victim for the year on that island.

Numerous warning for motorists were issued over the Easter Holiday weekend warning motorist to be careful while driving on the streets. This records the second fatality in the country over the holiday period.
