Nassau, Bahamas – Bahamas Press is following what can only be an inside robbery attempt at the Royal Bank Head Office at East Hill Street sometime between Saturday and Sunday morning.

We understand an alarm was triggers at a main vault at the RBC Head Office over the weekend where it was discovered that bandits attempted to drill their way into a main vault at the Corporation’s Head Office. We know it will not be long before detectives find the culprits.

We believe it was an inside job and all persons in that East Hill Office or doing business with the location should be investigated!

TWO NASSAU VILLAGE RESIDENTS IN CUSTODY FOR DRUG POSSESSION

Nassau, Bahamas – Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Plan for 2016, Mobile Division Officers took into custody two adult males after they seized a quantity of marijuana on Friday 4th November 2016.

Reports are that shortly after 2:00am, officers from the Mobile Division acting on intelligence, executed a search warrant at a home located at Catherine Street, Nassau Village, where they uncovered just over 10 pounds of marijuana. Two adult male residents of the home were taken into custody and are expected to
appear in court early next week to be formally charged.

WOMAN IN CUSTODY FOR DRUG POSSESSION

Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Plan for 2016, Southeastern Division Officers took into custody an adult female after they seized a quantity of marijuana on Thursday 3rd November 2016.

Reports are that shortly after 12:00noon, officers from the Southeastern Division acting on intelligence, executed a search warrant at a home located at Lexington Avenue off Wulff Road, Nassau Village, where they uncovered a quantity of marijuana. An adult female resident of the home was taken into custody and
is expected to appear in court early next week to be formally charged.

FIREARM SEIZED

Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Priorities for 2016, Police seized an illegal firearm off the streets of New Providence on Friday 4th November 2016.

Reports are that, shortly before 12:00noon, officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit acting on information conducted a search of a bushy area off Boyd, where they uncovered a Ruger Pistol with one round of ammunition. No one was arrested in this discovery.
