First Baptist Church Pastor Dr. Earle Francis passes at 91…..

Nassau, Bahamas — Last evening family and friends bid farewell to Rev. Dr. Earle Francis, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Coconut Grove.

He was 91.

Friends poured in words of sympathy for the late Earle. Daphne Simmons wrote: Condolences to the Francis clan. May he RIP. Rev. Dr. Francis impacted so many lives locally, regionally and internationally.

The father figure often celebrated his wife Marjorie Eloise ‘Sweet Potato” Francis, all throughout their marriage which lasted for over 66 years while the couple laboured in ministry together.

In a 2012 interview with the Nassau Guardian ‘The Earle’ in celebrating his longtime partner said; “ Everything about my wife was perfect – her love, demeanor, concern for me… everything. I still love her and it still feels like we first met.”

The couple was blessed with 13 children [6 boys and 7 girls].

Today Bahamas Press bids the EARLE farewell as he journeys into that land of Joy and Felicity for Evermore.
