Pinewood MP Byron Woodside flashes the victory sign as he descended the stairway of the Election Court shortly after the recount around 10Pm on Monday night. Justices Anita Allen and Jon Isaacs ordered that 110 illegal ballots cast in the Pinewood constituency during the May 2nd general to be tossed out and a recount done. Justice Allen after an almost 11 hour scrutiny of the ballots announced Woodside’s win by 49 votes.

Nassau, The Bahamas – Following his party’s victory in the election court, Prime Minister Hubert Ingraham announced to the general public that a mass rally will be held on R.M.Bailey Park this Thursday at 7:30p.m. The Prime Minister and leader of the FNM will be the keynote speaker at the rally.
