Nassau, Bahamas — Bahamas Press is reporting a 31-year-old is the country’s 6th murder victim in 9 days.
Detectives confirmed to BP a former Saint Augustine College student is the country’s latest murder victim.
BP can report Damian ‘Sparky’ Xavier is the 90th murder victim. According to police, Xavier was shot up in a violent shooting and a second male was left in critical condition at PMH.
The incident, we can report, occurred around 10:47 pm on Tuesday night in the vicinity of Miami Street off Cordeaux Avenue.
Both men were taken to hospital via EMS personnel. However, Xavier, a resident of Key West Street, succumbed to his injuries.
Bahamas Press can report the incident is a conclusion of another ‘Turf War’ in the inner city, which was brought to a boiling point over the weekend when a shooting of a young man occurred at a bar in the area. That victim survived the ordeal.
