Nassau, Bahamas — Breaking News coming into Bahamas Press now confirms that Mr. William ‘Billy’ Saunders, founder/owner of Majestic Tours, has been found dead in his Eastern Road homw by his maid. BP teams have just arrived at the scene.
While foul play is not suspected at this time, the 85-year-old was named the recipient of the Clement Maynard Lifetime Achievement Award back in 2010 for his work in the Tourism business.
Mr. Saunders started Majestic Tours in 1959. Today, Majestic is the largest ground tour operator in The Bahamas and one of the largest in the Caribbean. It has grown to include a travel agency, a European division and local cruises. It represents tour operators based in the United States, Canada, and Europe.
